TTDP CHALKS OUT PLAN TO TAKE ON GOVT OVER FARMERS’ PROBLEMS

Telangana TDP has finalized a future course of action against the TRS government for its failure in mitigating the problems of farmers.

The TelanganaTDP leaders today met in the party headquarters NTR trust bhavan here on Friday and discussed about various issues the State was facing. After extensive discussions, the party leaders wanted to take on the State government on farmers’ suicides’ issue and over changing of design of Pranahita- Chevalla project.

As part of agitation, the TDP would meet the Union Agriculture Minister on September 14 and 15 and apprise him of the farmers’ problems in the State. The party would also meet the Human Rights Commission on September 16 along with the families of the farmers, who committed suicides. They would also submit a memorandum to State Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma on farmers’ problems.

To register their protest against the changing of design of Pranahita-Chevala project, the party would take out padayatras on September 18, 19 and 20. (NSS)
