TS Ministers to meet PM on Cotton row on Dec 2

Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari today said that the state government will ask the Centre to procure cotton from the Telangana farmers. ‘We will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this regard in Delhi on December 2’, he said, adding that himself and Agriculture Minister P Srinivas Reddy would meet the P M.     

      

Talking to reporters here, Srihari said that Centre should purchase all the  cotton from the farmers in Telangana and offer minimum support price of Rs 5,000. He also felt that the Centre has to increase moisture content to  20 percent. Telangana Government is planning to set up a Sainik School in Warangal city.

       

The minister for education disclosed that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has agreed to set up the Army School in Warangal. KCR is focusing on  developing  the city that gave thumping majority to P Dayakar in MP seat bye-poll, he stated. Unmindful of the opposition criticism and bad propaganda the people of Warangal gave mandate to the welfare schemes being offered by the TRS Government,  the deputy chief minister said. (NSS)
