TS keen on strengthening Education sector: Kadiam

Deputy Chief Minister in-charge of Education Kadiam Srihari has stated the country was facing several problems with regard to Education sector.

           

Speaking at the ‘Women Teachers’ National Convention’ held at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram here on Sunday, Srihari said the State government was paying special attention to strengthening Educational sector. The TRS government was also encouraging students to develop skills at international level. Stating that the teachers unions’ have to concentrate on Education policy, Srihari made it clear that the State government was against the detention system. Stating that the Backward Class students would lose with detention system, the Deputy Chief Minister urged the government teachers to strive to create competition between the private and government educational institutions. He exhorted teachers to encourage girls towards education. He also revealed that some three lakh girl students were pursuing education in the residential schools. (NSS)
