TS Govt improving living conditions of citizens: Talasani

Commercial Taxes Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Wednesday claimed that the Government of Telangana has been trying hard to improve the living conditions of the citizens by providing basic amenities to one and all.

Talasani said that the State Government was constructing 400 2BHK houses in each constituency and taking steps to complete the Phase III of Krishna and Godavari project by December this year in order to provide drinking water through tap connections to all houses in GHMC limits. He was speaking after inaugurating Rs.5/- Meals scheme at 47 and 48 centres at Lakdikapul and Saifabad here today.

The Minister said that the Hare Rama Hare Krishna Society has been preparing good quality food and more centres would be opened to reach out to more number of poor people and students.

He also informed that the government would be providing two dustbins each to 44 lakh households in the GHMC limits and 2500 auto-trolleys were being purchased to life garbage under the Swachh Hyderabad programme. He said that two big reservoirs were also being constructed and High Tension wires were being removed in the entire GHMC area.

BJP MLA Chintala Ramchandra Reddy, GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar and other senior officials were also present on the occasion. (INN)
