The Telangana Government on Friday accepted the suggestions made by the High Level Committee to take up Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP) for the constructions of 20 Multi-Level Flyovers and Junctions in different areas of GHMC.
The State Government directed that the project should be taken up with EPC tenders with deferred annuity payments. The entire tender will be completed in 30 days and the project must be completed in 2.5 years. The GHMC has been authorized to appoint a suitable consultant to deal with this project at the appropriate time.
On May 30 this year, the State Government had accorded in principle approval for construction of flyovers/junctions for the proposed 20 projects under DBMT- Annuity mode of procurement under PPP mode. Subsequently, a High Level Committee was constituted on June 20. The Committee, during its meeting held on July 8, discussed the issue and submitted its suggestions to the State Government which have been accepted. (INN)
