TS Cabinet likely on Sept 2

Telangana State Cabinet meeting is likely to be held in Secretariat on Sept 2 at 4 pm, according to information. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will chair the meeting is expected to take a call on the proposed cheap liquor policy that is inviting wrath from the opposition parties and decide the dates for Monsoon session of Telangana Assembly. According to information, the Telangana dispensation postponed the Monsoon session as Andhra Pradesh Assembly session is slated to be held from August 31 to September 4.

It is being touted that the chief minister is to make an announcement on cheap liquor policy. The Assembly session was though expected a bit earlier in the first week of September, it was deferred due to Chief Minister’s proposed tour to China to attend World Economic Forum international conclave in the second week.

It is stated that the Monsoon session is most likely to be conducted for about 7 days only after his return from Eastern nation.

The Cabinet is to focus on irrigation projects such as Palamur Ranga Reddy, Dindi and others, progress of flagship programs such as water grid, lakes restoration, housing for poor, pensions, kalian lakshmi, shadi Mubarak and others. (NSS)
