Trump says Hillary’s women’s card on him will backfire

Washington :Republican presidential front runner Donald Trump today criticised his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton for playing the women’s card on him, saying her husband’s “terrible record of women abuse” will haunt her on the campaign trail.

“If Hillary thinks she can unleash her husband (Bill Clinton), with his terrible record of women abuse, while playing the women’s card on me, she’s wrong!,” Trump said in a Tweet this morning.

“Hillary Clinton has announced that she is letting her husband out to campaign but HE’S DEMONSTRATED A PENCHANT FOR SEXISM, so inappropriate!,” Trump, 69, said in another tweet.

The tweet was in response to Hillary’s assertion that Trump has “demonstrated a penchant for sexism” in his quest for the GOP presidential nominee.

On December 24, Trump warned Clinton, 68, that she should “be careful” while calling other candidates sexist.

“Hillary, when you complain about “a penchant for sexism,” who are you referring to. I have great respect for women. BE CAREFUL!,” Trump tweeted on Wednesday.

New York-based real estate tycoon, Trump has emerged as the top GOP presidential candidate while Hillary Clinton is leading the Democratic race.

“Trump’s comments mark the latest escalation of his war of words with the Clinton family over gender and sexism,” The Hill reported.

Meanwhile, a New Hampshire newspaper in an editorial slamming Trump’s “public descent into bathroom humour” and revived the comparison to Biff Tannen from the “Back to the Future” movies.
