Former union minister Sarve Satyanarayana on Friday alleged that the TRS Government tampered and manipulated Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) to win by-elections for Warangal Lok Sabha.
Sarve, who was defeated as Congress candidate, demanding a probe into the allegations through a special commission.
Addressing a press conference here, Sarve said that there was truth in the reports of tempering of EVMs and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao must resign from the post if his allegations are proved. He said there was anger among the people against the TRS Government. The ministers and ruling party leaders were confronted by the common people at several places during the election campaign. In such circumstances, it was impossible for TRS candidate P. Dayakar to get such a huge majority, he said.
Sarve said it was only due to tampering of EVMs that he could not secure his deposit. (INN)
