TRS scared of defeat in GHMC polls: BJP

BJP floor leader in the Assembly Dr K. Lakshman here on Wednesday charged the TRS government with restricting the number of GHMC Wards to 150 due to fear of defeat in the ensuing corporation elections.

Dr Lakshman, accompanied by party legislators, including G. Kishan Reddy, NVSS Prabhakar and N Ramchander Rao, organized a padayatra from the GHMC head office to the Assembly. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Lakshman pointed out that all the roads in the State capital were in a pathetic condition and the stinking drainage water was freely flowing on the roads due to the criminal negligence of the civic authorities.

The BJP leader said the State government achieved nothing even after spending Rs 400 crore in the name of a week-long Swachch Hyderabad campaign. (NSS)
