TRS Govt will ensure development of women: Eatala

Finance Minister Eatala Rajender distributed new gas connections among women associated with DWCRA Groups under the Deepam scheme at Hanamkonda of Warangal district on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Eatala said that women have played a major role in the formation of Telangana State and therefore, TRS Government would take all measures to ensure their development. He assured that all women associated with DWCRA Groups would be given a gas connection under Deepam scheme.

Eatala said that nearly 20 lakh additional gas connections were required across the Telangana State. He said that the State Government has allocated Rs. 150 crore in the first phase to provide gas connections to poor families.

The Finance Minister also assured that the State Government would take all measures to prevent the farmers from committing suicide. He accused the opposition parties of politicising the farmers’ suicide.

Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari announced that the government would make Warangal a ‘gudamba free’ district. He appealed to the women to support the government in its drive against ‘gudamba’.

MLAs Vinay Bhaskar, R Ramesh and Shankar Naik and other leaders also addressed the meeting. (INN)
