TRS Govt Not Serious About K’Taka Projects–TDP

Launching a scathing attack on the TRS government, Telangana TDP leaders today alleged that the state government is not serious on the illegal projects being constructed on Allamatti by Karnataka government.

Though TDP has raised the issue of illegal projects being built by Karnataka government, TRS government is indulging in leveling allegations against TDP, and its minister Jupalli Krishna Rao is talking in a meaningless mnner.

In a joint press conference addressed by Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Arkela Narsi reddy and Prakash Goud, the TDP leaders said TRS leaders who went to visit under-construction project of Karanataka used filthy language against Chandrababu Naidu which is condemnable.

Errabelli said Karnataka government has already allocated Rs 1500 crore for increasing the height of Allmatti from 519 to 524 mitres. Karnataka government also issued a notification for acquiring 1.25 lakh acre land for the project and even people of a town are being evacuated. If the height of Allmatti was increased, not a single drop of water would be available from Krishna river, they said.

Raising objection for changing the design of Pranahita-Chevalla project, Errabelli asked why Kantanpalli and Totapalli reservoirs were cancelled. Rs 4500 crore have been spent on this project and how can the project get a national status if we change the design, the TDP leader questioned.

Arakela Narsireddy said TDP is ready to work for safeguarding the rights of Telugu people. TRS leaders instead of leveling allegation, should work for the benefit of the state.

Prakash Goud said it was unfortunate to change the design of Pranahita-Chevala project as its work is going on for the last six years.

He said the party would hold a one day dharna tomorrow at Shashabad against changing the design of Pranahita chevalla project because Rangareddy district would be affected if there was any change in the project.(NSS)
