TPCC condemns booking of cases against M. Tech student

TPCC Spokesperson Mallu Ravi on Thursday alleged that one M. Tech student has been booked under serious offences for raising a question during Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s meeting.

Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, Mallu Ravi said that the student, Vijay Kumar, had tried to question KCR on the status of promise of providing jobs to unemployed youth during an election meeting in Warangal. Immediately after the meeting, Vijay Kumar and his family members were booked and arrested for having alleged links with Maoists. At one side, KCR is asking people to stone him if he does anything wrong. On the other, he is registering cases under serious offences against those who are raising voice against him, he alleged.

Mallu Ravi pointed out that KCR has once stated that he would follow naxalites agenda. However, the TRS Government has been targeting students on the charges of being Maoists or their sympathisers.

TPCC spokespersons M. Niranjan and ex-MLC B. Kamalakar were also present during the press conference. (INN)
