Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N Uttam Kumar Reddy asked the party cadre to gear up for the by-elections for Warangal Lok Sabha seat.

Addressing a review meeting with leaders of Warangal District Congress Committee at Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday, Uttam Kumar, according to sources, described the by-polls as quite prestigious. Asking all the leaders to work as a team by burying their personal differences, he said everyone should focus only on winning the by-elections. He said AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi was personally monitoring the activities related to Warangal by-polls.

Uttam Kumar Reddy asked the Congress cadre to properly publicise that it was AICC President Sonia Gandhi who granted statehood for Telangana. Further, he asked them to expose the failures of TRS Government at village level. He wanted them to focus on highlighting the government’s failures like non-implementation of crop loan waiver.

TPCC Working President Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, AICC Secretary RC Khuntia, Warangal DCC President Rajender Reddy and other leaders attended the meeting. (INN)
