Nizamabad, Mahabubnagar and Warangal districts of Telangana State have been selected for the best performance award by the Centre for their active participation in “Digital India Week” held from last July 1 to 7.
This was informed by Dr Ajay Kumar, additional secretary Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Communication and IT, Government of India to Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma in an official communiqué. A selection committee constituted by the Centre has said that the three districts are selected as the best performers during the event. Union Minister for Communication and IT, Ravi Shankar Prasad will present the awards to the best performing states and districts during the upcoming “Good Governance Day” event scheduled to be held in Delhi on Dec 28.
