Three Elephant Tusks Smugglers Arrested By Police

The sleuths of SOT East Zone, Cyberabad along with Alwal Police today took three accused persons into custody who have smuggled two carved elephant tusks and looking for prospective customers at Green Fields Colony, Alwal, in violation of The Wild Life (Protection) Act 1972.
The accused persons are Kucharlapati Venkata Suryanarayana Raju, Occ:business Resident of Krishna Sai Residency, Srinagar, Vizag, Munru Phaninder, Occ:CEO of Transtech Software Solutions at S.R.Nagar, resident of Tailors colony, Ameenpur, Patancheru, Medak, and Nunna Arvind Kumar @ Arvind Reddy Occ:Real Estate Broker, resident of Sultan Nagar, Moti nagar, Hyderabad.
The fourth accused V.K.S.Chandra Bose Tigripalli @ Bose, Resident of Madhavadhara, VUDA Colony, Vizag, was absconding.
The sleuths of SOT East Zone, on credible information took three accused persons into custody at Green Fields Colony, Alwal who were in possession of two carved elephant tusks brought from Vizag. They brought the tusks to Hyderabad and were looking for prospective customers as they are valued more than Rs.1 Crore in the international market.
The accused were apprehended and handed over to Alwal Police for further necessary action. (NSS)
