IS threat of possible attack in Hyderabad gave cops sleepless nights

Hyderabad: The terror threat demanded a full spectrum response, incorporating military force, enhanced powers.The security services has also crackdown on those peddling extremist ideologies.

In an indication of the severe threats by IS, the Intelligence Bureau (IB) has
emerged the police investigation for staggering terrorist plots in public places of Hyderabad.

The city police has burst in for surprise checks across the city on Tuesday. Clear instruction are given to the cops by Senior officials to keep close observation in the buses, railway stations, thickly populated residential and commercial spaces and places of worship.

On Tuesday morning the South Zone police conducted cordon and search inspection at Kanchanbagh and Chandrayangutta areas. Cops seized 49 bikes and five autos at Hafeez-Baba Nagar. At C block of Kanchanbagh and Ghouse Nagar of Chandrayangutta,where the Myanmar and few persons from Assam are working as labourers,the cops suspected them and collected fingerprints of at least 40 persons.

The Cops ransacked at Old Rose Garden function hall, Ghouse Nagar,and seized two DCM vans loaded with bones of cattle and beef parcels. The beef parcels were handed over to GHMC officials for further enquiry.

The Police stormed into a gutkha manufacturing unit at Chandrayangutta in RK Function hall and captured a huge quantity of pan masala and gutkha packets.

During the surprise vehicle checks performed by the police at shopping areas and other places the police found Rs 25 lakh cash with two persons at Minister’s Road, North Zone and at Liberty X Roads. Central Zone police seized 1.1 Kg gold from a person named Suresh. Police are inquiring from these three persons about the cash and gold.
