Dhaka, Oct. 18 : Hours before the Durga Puja celebrations, miscreants desecrated six idols in a temple located in a village of the Satkhira Sadar upazila in Bangladesh.
According to The Daily Star, the broken idols of Durga and Ganesh were discovered by the villagers early today.
Deputy Commissioner Nazmul Ahsan, Additional Superintendent of Police Mir Modasser Hossain among other officials have visited the spot.
The investigation of the incident is underway and police forces have been deployed in the area to avoid any untoward incident.
