Technical Support Engineer

Job Description

Company largest operating division is now looking for Secound Line Network engineer to provide remote support for Company clients, Internal Core Network and project consultancy.

One of our customer has approached Company to provide IT support to their user community. The support to be provided will be 2nd line support. This role would be within a ring fenced team consisting of onsite and offshore resources.

The successful candidate needs proven experience of working in a fast-paced support environment with the ability to manage a demanding, multi-task workload.

The role is based at the Company office in Hyderabad
Providing L2 support for Network services

Essential technical skills

5+ years experience as a Network Engineer in a large diverse environment
Experience in managing 5+ offices connected via WAN.
Experience in managing Campus LAN.
Experience on Cisco Routers and Switches.
Hands-on Experience in MPLS network
Hands on experience in configuring and troubleshooting EIGRP.
Hands on Experience in configuring and troubleshooting VLANs, STP,VTP,Trunking,HSRP,VRRP
Basic hands on cisco ASA firewall would be an added advantage
Basic hands on cisco Nexus switches would be an added advantage
Basic hands on F5 Load Balancer would be an added advantage
Basic hands on clearswift appliance for Web filtering would be an added advantage.
Knowledge in configuring and troubleshooting, RIP, OSPF, BGP, route summarization, route redistribution, distribution list,prefix list,
Competencies

Previous experience of working for an IT service provider in an outsourced environment
Ability to work under pressure and to Service Level Agreements in a fast paced environment
Excellent people skills with the ability to interact successfully with business and other technology groups
Able to manage multiple incidents / projects and ensure quality is maintained in the approach
Commitment / flexibility (late night and weekend work is quite often required due to nature of the business)
Good analytical skills; a structured and methodical approach
Strong service attitude; builds lasting client relationships, strives for efficiency and effectiveness
Excellent verbal, written and client communication skills
