She Team rescues techie from hostage in Tolichowki

One Sandeep, brother of a victim came to the She Team office, CCS, here and informed that his sister, who stays in Dubai, who came to Hyderabad, was confined in an apartment in Al-Hasanath Colony Tolichowki.

Based on the information, She Teams ACP D Kavitha deputed SI Laxman along with his team to verify the input and rescue the victim. When the team reached the spot, the victim was found confined in a bathroom. She was in a state of shock with injuries on her head and face. She was rescued from the accused, who held the victim under threat.

Accused Syed Imad Hasan, 26, private employee in a software company and a native of Aligarh in UP reportedly developed intimacy with the victim while she was working in the same office. The victim left for Dubai in September this year on office work. The accused continued to torture her on social media and phone threatening her of uploading her obscene pictures and the matter and compelled her to marry him. He forced her to leave Dubai and come to Hyderabad and marry him. Later, he booked a return ticket for her and forced her to come to India. She came to India five days back to settle the issue.

The accused picked her up from the Shamshabad airport and took her to his residential flat at Tolichowki. He snatched her mobile phone and forcibly took her passwords of her email, Face book and so on and started using them on her name. She was denied access to the outside world. The accused also procured a litre of petrol, a knife, a rope and threatened the victim and forced her to give consent for marriage. He also torn her passport and beat her severely on head and face and subjected her to sexual abuse.

However, the victim secretly contacted one of her friends through Facebook when the accused was out of the flat for a few minutes and sent a text about her horrible condition. In turn, her friend informed the victim’s brother, who was in Karnataka and both of them approached the She Team for help

The police raided the flat and seized a bottle containing petrol, a knife, a rope and passports of both the victim and the accused and brought them to the She Team office where the victim’s statement was recorded. The police seized all the incriminating material and handed over the victim to the Humayun Nagar police station. A case under Cr. No-344/15, u/s 376,343, 354(A), 504, 506, 323 IPC was registered at Humayunagar PS. The victim was sent to medical examination and the accused was produced in the court. (NSS)
