Teach Congress, TDP, BJP a lesson: KTR

Minister for IT & Panchayat Raj K Taraka Ramarao today exhorted the electorate of Warangal parliamentary constituency to teach a lesson to the Congress, Telugu Desam and BJP in the November 21 by-election.

Speaking at an election meeting at Hanamkonda in Warangal district here, the minister vehemently condemned the attitude of the Opposition parties for indulging in vitriolic attack on the welfare schemes. These parties, he charged, dumped the people and now seeking votes for selfish ends. The Congress fielded Sarve Satyanarayana, who was defeated in Hyderabad, he said and ridiculed that the BJP and Telugu Desam combine imported a candidate from abroad. He said TRS candidate P Dayakar will be with the people to learn and address their problems if voted to become an MP.

KTR said the TRS government was committed for people’s welfare and was spending Rs 4,400 crore on disbursement of pensions to 38 lakh people in the State. Besides, the government was giving Re. 1-a-kg fine rice to the poor and hostels and the government was also offering financial assistance to the poor girls of SC, ST and Minority communities through Kalyana Lakhsmi and Shadi Mubarak schemes. “We will also extend this facility to the girls of BC community soon”, he declared.

KTR also reminded the people that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had courage to announce that the TRS would not ask for votes if they failed to keep their promise of implementing the water grid project for supply of safe waters to each household. “The people should favour a working government and vote for its candidate”, he urged.
