Newly appointed Greater Hyderabad TDP President and Khairtabad MLA Maganti Gopinath has expressed confidence that his party would sweep the forthcoming GHMC elections.
Speaking to media persons here, Maganti said that the TDP would win the GHMC elections and capture the Mayor’s post as it did in 2001 elections. He claimed that the TDP has gained strength in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad and other areas in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits.
Maganti also slammed the GHMC for its failure to prevent the spread of diseases like Dengue, Malaria, Swine Flu, etc., He said that the GHMC and State Government has failed to make proper arrangements in public hospitals to treat the patients. He said that the TDP would raise the issue in the ongoing session of Legislative Assembly. (INN)
