TDP demands White Paper on Telangana’s finances

Telangana TDP leaders on Monday demanded that the State Government issue a White Paper on the financial status of the State.

Addressing a press conference at NTR Trust Bhavan here, Telangana TDP President L Ramana said that as against the claims of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of Telangana being a revenue surplus State, several welfare schemes have been kept on hold for want of funds. He said that the government was even unable to pay for the bills pertaining to Mission Kakatiya works.

Ramana asked KCR to clarify the reasons for delay in clearance of bills and release of funds for various welfare schemes. He also condemned the TRS Government for removing some workers from service for going on strike. He said instead of holding talks to resolve their issues, the TRS Government has been targeting the workers and employees who are expressing their protest. He said that the government was unable to fulfill a single promise despite completion of 14 months in powers. (INN)
