TD lashes out at Jagan jibe

Telugu Desam senior leader Varla Ramaiah today lashed out at Opposition Leader and YSR Congress Party President YS Jaganmohan Reddy for his remarks against Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his son N Lokesh on sand mining issue.

At a press conference at the party headquarters of NTR Trust Bhavan here, Ramaiah accused Jagan Reddy of amassing wealth through illegal means. He condemned the comments of the YCP chief that Lokesh, at the behest of Naidu, is receiving Rs 1 cr through sand mining by encouraging illegal mining activity. Ramaiah took a dig at the YCP chief on derogatory remarks made by Roja and boycotting of the Assembly and belittling the proceedings. Despite facing 11 charge-sheets, Jagan Reddy is talking on corruption and making allegations on the government he charged. Jagan Reddy should stop talking nonsense and prove allegations leveled if he has guts, Varla Ramaiah suggested. He ridiculed that Jagan Reddy’s comments are like thief calling others thieves. He alleged that Jagan Reddy swindled about Rs 10000 cr from illegal mining encouraged by then YS Rajasekhar Reddy and his cabinet colleague Botcha Satyanarayana during congress regime. He threw a challenge to Jagan to be ready for a debate on sand mining revenue. He charged the YCP is promoting all mafias and making bad comments on the TD government. Telugu women will teach Jagan Reddy a lesson if he failed to mend ways, he warned. (NSS)
