Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Saturday requested the ruling dispensation at the Centre to change P B Acharya as the Governor of the state.
Talking to newsmen in Guwahati, Gogoi alleged that Acharya has instigated NGOs against the Congress government in the state.
The Chief Minister said that recently he met President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and urged both of them to appoint a new Governor in Assam. (ANI)
