It takes two hours to culminate love in Shah Rukh Khan’s film but mine just takes two minutes: Emraan Hashmi

Mumbai: Having portrayed more of a spontaneous romantic hero on screen, actor Emraan Hashmi says his brand of romance is different from that of Shah Rukh Khan.

When asked to define his ‘brand of romance’, Emraan said in a lighter vein, “In a SRK film, to culminate the love it takes two hours… In my film it takes two minutes. In his films, it takes time to get the girl while in films there is no waiting around.”

The “Murder” actor, who is branded as the ‘serial kisser’ of Hindi films, said he has moved on from that image.

“I have grown out of that image but you all have not. It has been associated with me… I don’t run away from it. I don’t think whether it (kissing) will be there in the film or in the songs that I do. I like to choose things on basis of concept,” he said.

The 36-year-old actor is seen in T-Series’s next music video “Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon” along with actress Esha Gupta.

“I liked the concept of the video. It’s a good track.

It (actors featuring in music videos) is a growing trend a welcome change. In the West, it is there and it feels good that it is happening here,” he said.

Emraan was all praises for his co-star Esha with whom he has worked in films “Jannat 2” and “Raaz 3”.

“She has evolved, is confident and doing good work.

(Film) industry is not a easy place to be in but she has made a name for herself in three years. Our chemistry in both the films has been liked. We hope people like us in the video too,” he said.

Emraan also revealed he took training in classical vocal but has no intentions of doing playback.

“I had trained for classical music and let it go. It was the biggest mistake I made. It is something that requires constant practise and hard work. With my kind of voice, I don’t think I will sing,” he said.
