Tahir Ali is T. Kiran who stole Harley Davidson from Hyderabad, caught in Mumbai

A conman who rode away with a Harley Davidson bike Street 750 worth Rs 6 lakh, on the pretext of ‘test drive’ in Hyderabad on Tuesday, was caught last night in Mumbai.

The man who introduced himself as Syed Tahir Ali was actually T. Kiran, an employee of state-owned oil major ONGC and an IIT graduate whose father has served in the army and stays in Hyderabad.

T Kiran, in his 30 walked into the showroom filled the proforma before taking a 750 cc Harley Davidson bike for a “test drive”.

Before the theft, he went to an ATM to withdraw money and also purchased a helmet on the way to the Banjara Hills showroom.

With the help of call records and CCTV footage, police traced him who drove the bike to Mumbai.

From his educational and work profile, no one would believe that he attempted heist like this by misrepresenting himself to be a Muslim.
