Telangana TDP today strongly criticized the decision of TRS government to reduce security cover to its state party president L Ramana and party floor leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao.
As the bye-election for Warangal parliamentary seat is nearing, the state government issued a G O reducing the security of the duo as security review committee has decided to withdraw armed escorts to these two leaders. TDP has decided to write a letter to DGP in this regard.
Reacting on the state government decision, TDP senior leader Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy alleged that the state government is providing security to local galli leaders whereas it is reducing escorts to senior TDP leaders. What was the need of reducing the security to TDP Telangana leaders as they are getting the security cover for the last 20 years, Errabelli questioned. (NSS)
