T Govt Pensioners’ to Support to TJAC Stir Against Centre

Telangana Government Pensioners Association has taken a pledge, while paying homage to late Prof K Jayashankar on his birthday, to actively participate in the movement proposed to be launched by TJAC against the Central Government, to protest the continued injustices to Telangana State. .

This was announced in a press note by the office-bearers of the Association, who included R Uma Devi, Honorary President, K Komurelli President and B Yugandhar Reddy, General Secretary. They alleged that even one year after formation of the new State, the Andhra Rulers were creating hurdles in achieving ‘Sampoorna Telangana’ dreamt by Prof Jayashankar, particularly in matters like creation of new High Court and division of employees in a way to render injustice to Telangana staff.

On the occasion, the Association requested the State Government to grant Telangana special increment to the Pensioners on par with Government employees and payment of PRC arrears of nine months in cash immediately. This would benefit about 2.45 lakh pensioners. (NSS)
