NOC support is 24 x 7, including weekends and holidays.
The NOC team is responsible for escalation of all Network / System / Security / Application related issues that cannot be resolved by the NOC Staff. Analysts will use the knowledge gained from issue resolutions and make suggestions to IT Infrastructure, IT Applications and IT Operations teams.
NOC Supervisors will interoperate with the Global Service Desk for regular updates, status updates and dissemination of information to end users. NOC Supervisors will also monitor security related alerts, IDS events, correlate security logs with all enterprise monitoring tools worldwide.
The NOC Supervisors will identify a potential system or security issue, determine the severity and probable impact of the issue; and either escalate, or propose a recommended resolution to the issue.
NOC Supervisors will also configure, monitor and maintain application, security and network management tools that report on predefined system alarms, network performance, security vulnerabilities, and all system outages. They will also implement, and operate scripting tools that gauge end-to-end user experience accessing PAREXEL systems enterprise wide.

-Act as the 24×7 escalation point to IT Infrastructure / Applications /Site Services support teams.
-Train and mentor NOC Analysts to ensure their efficiency improves in handling critical incidents.
-Develop, refine, and document NOC policies, processes and procedures, including training manuals.
-Ability to effectively accomplish performance review for direct reports.
-Pro-actively identify system impacting issues through the analysis of performance data and alerts.
-Perform real-time tier 1 troubleshooting via remote access to system components to isolate, manage and resolve issues.
-Identifying, ticketing, dispatching, and escalating system faults.
-Coordinates and tracks all maintenance activities.
-Performs Smart Event Correlation by collating and interpreting data from various sources that helps in defining the cause of the issue.
-Monitors security logs across diverse platforms to uncover specific activities in the network and avoid a potential virus outbreak.
-Manage the intake of information and record accurately.
-Continuously evaluate the services provided by the NOC and capture this information in the reports and metrics.
-Analyzes security analysis reports for security vulnerabilities and reports on significant trends and vulnerabilities.
-Participate in 24×7 rotating shift schedule with ability to work day, evening, and weekends.
-Develop and maintain positive communications between IT Infrastructure / IT Applications / IT Operations.
-Create and implement documentation and procedures to for alerting and escalation.
-Conducts inspections on Systems, Network security and performance and prepares reports.
-Use acquired knowledge to influence and improve IT practices and technologies.
-NOC Supervisor should be able to take most appropriate decisions while handling business critical incidents.
-Should be able to effectively disseminate the right information to Senior Management during priority issues.

-Experience in working with Ticketing/ Incident / Problem / Change management.
-Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
-Experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as QRadar / Orion-Solarwinds / Microsoft Systems Center Operations Manager (MS SCOM) / IBM Tivoli Monitoring / HP OpenView / Whats Up Gold / HP SIM / NNM.
-Ground concepts of TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, SNMP, SMTP.
-Knowledge on routing protocols, layer 2 switches, firewalls, VPN and Network security concepts.
-Windows 2008/2012 knowledge, understanding of active directory, basic knowledge of Unix/Linux.
-Experience with MPLS, T1/T3 links, and DSL
-Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel.
-Operational team/shift management skills required.

2.IT Security: CCNA (Security)/ CompTIA Security+ /RHCSS (Red Hat Certified Security Specialist)/ECSA (EC Council Certified Security Analyst)
3.Networking : CCNA (Routing and Switching or Voice) /CompTIA Network+
4.Systems (Servers) : MCSE / MCITP/MCP/ RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator)/ RHCE (Red Hat Certified System Engineer)/VCP (VMware Certified Professional)
5.Storage: CompTIA Storage+ (SNIA – Storage Networking Industry Association) or Any Vendor based.
6.Applications(Databases) : OCA (Oracle Certified Database Administrator)/ MCDBA/MCSA (SQL Server)/MCSD (Web Applications)/ SCJA (Sun Certified Java Associate)
