The Sudhir Commission of Enquiry formed to study educational, economic and social backwardness of Muslims has begun preparations to present report to the government in March 2016. The Commission has completed its tour to 7 districts and remaining 3 districts will be visited in January.
According to commission sources, the comprehensive report along with recommendations will be submitted to the government in the beginning or end of March 2016. After its survey and reviewing the representations made to it, the commission came to conclusion that Muslims were ignored in every field hence their development is possible through providing reservations.
Sources said that the Commission will recommend reservations for Muslims however percentage of reservation would be left to the decision of the government as the matter is related to law and constitution.
