TDP senior leader and MLA R. Chandrashekar Reddy on Thursday stated that the reported plans of party’s Rajya Sabha member G. Sudha Rani to join the TRS would not have any impact on the Telugu Desam Party in Telangana State.
Speaking to media persons here, Chandrashekar Reddy expressed wonder over Sudha Rani’s statement that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has included Warangal in the list of Smart Cities. He said that despite being a Rajya Sabha MP, Sudha Rani appears ignorant of the fact that it is the Central Government which selects the cities to be developed as ‘Smart Cities’ and the State Government or the Chief Minister plays no role in it.
He maintained that Sudha Rani’s exit from TDP would not hurt party’s interest in Telangana. (INN)
