Congress MP V. Hanumantha Rao on Friday described BJP leader Subramaniam Swamy as the liar of the decade.
Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here, VHR condemned Subramanian Swamy for questioning the nationality of AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi. He said that the issue was aimed at diverting people’s attention from the real issues. He said that the Narender Modi Government has failed on all fronts and by raising issues like Rahul Gandhi’s nationality, the BJP leaders wanted to provoke the opposition parties in view of next Parliament session. He said instead of debating on public issues, the BJP leaders want the Congress MPs to stall the Parliament over their controversial remarks.
However, VHR said that the Congress MPs would foil such attempts and would debate the public issues in the next session. (INN)
