Status of Muslims won’t change merely by promises and assurance – Zahid Ali Khan

Hyderabad: Status of Muslim is not going to change merely by lip sympathy, promises and assurance. These thoughts were expressed by Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily while welcoming the delegations of Nalgonda, Mahboob Nagar and Warangal who had visited the office of Siasat to exert their support for 12% reservation campaign launched by Siasat Urdu Dialy. These delegations applauded the efforts of Mr. Zahid Ali Khan for starting a people’s movement for getting 12% reservations for Muslims.

Mr. Zahid Ali Khan told the delegations that they should intensify their demand for the formation of BCs Commission. He described Mr. KCR as a serious political leader and requested him to fulfill his election promise made to the Muslims for providing 12% reservations. He advised Mr. KCR that if he does so, the Muslims of Telangana State would exercise their votes in favor of Telangana Rashtra Samithi. He further told that everybody expressed his sympathy for the Muslims and raises slogans. They should show their practical action. He advised the delegations to observe keenly the proceedings of the ongoing State Assembly which would come to end this week. Muslims would know that whosoever raises his voice in Assembly on Muslim issues is their true sympathizer. If one doesn’t raise this voice, he won’t be considered as the real sympathizer of the Muslims. He demanded the Muslims to exert their pressure in the Assembly for the formation of BCs Commission and to get clear assurance from the Govt. for positive actions.

Mr. Zahid Ali Khan appeals to the Muslims of the districts to intensify their campaign since this is the opportunity which would help make the future of the Muslim youths brighter. The percentage of employment in the fields of education and Govt. jobs would increase for the Muslims. He stressed the need to the Muslim delegations to intensify their demand for the constitution of BCs Commission since it is the only authority which is legally competent to make recommendations for 12% reservation for Muslims.

On this occasion, Mr. Amer Ali Khan, News Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily welcomed Mr. Syed Abrar Hashmi who has started his cycle yatra from Nalgonda for campaigning 12% reservation for Muslims. Present on this occasion was Mr. Shahabuddin, Bureau Chief of Siasat Urdu Daily. Mr. Abrar Hashmi told that when he started for Nalgonda and reached Hyderabad, many non-Muslims also supported his efforts. He told that he is a car driver and a social activist. He mentioned that when he reach Dabeerpura, a pan shop owner garlanded him.

The delegation led by Mr. Muneer Ahmed, State Convener of Mahboob Nagar also presented memorandum for the formation of BCs Commission and to provide 12% reservation to Muslims. The Muslims of Siddipet, presented memoranda to Dy. CM, Mr. Mahmood Ali and Irrigation Minister, Mr. T. Harish Rao. The delegation was led by Mr. Ghouse Mohiuddin, President of Tanzeem-ul-Masajid of Siddipet. In Yella Reddy, the Muslims presented a memorandum to Mr. Ravendra Reddy, MLA and demanded him to exert his pressure for providing 12% reservation to Muslims. He assured that he would communicate this demand to Mr. KCR. Present on this occasion were Mr. Mohammed Sakhawat Ali and others. Mr. Mohammed Abdul Muqeet, Present of Muslim League, Mr. Abdul Gani, Secretary submitted a memorandum to Revenue Officials in Nizamabad.
