SRK come to rescue of Aamir khan says he doesn’t need to prove his patriotism

Extending his hand of support for fellow actor Aamir Khan over the intolerance debate, Shah Rukh Khan said that ‘one does not need to prove his patriotism’.

The Bollywood khan finally broke his silence on the controversy related to Aamir Khan and his statement on growing intolerance in the country.

Aamir fared much worse when he said that a sense of “insecurity” and “fear” was gripping India and his wife Kiran Rao even wondered if the couple should leave India as she was worried for her son.

Shahrukh Khan said that,”You have to work for the benefit of the country. If I work for the country in the kindest way in what I am good at, my country is going to benefit from that. But if I am corrupt, and regional about it, I will be harming my country”.

Shah Rukh says that, “twitter and social media is about free voice, people do take very radical steps, they get abusive. Even a generic statement can be turned into radical statements by people.”

However Aamir clarified his statement saying “India is my country, I love it, I feel fortunate for being born here, and this is where I am staying.”

It is to noted that Aamir Khan was not alone who faced criticism. Earlier Shahrukh Khan too faced stern criticism for his remark on “intolerance”.
