London, July 30 : Bookmakers William Hill has now suspended the betting on the identity of the next Bond theme singer after a customer in the Middlesex tried to put 15,000 pounds bet on the band Radiohead.
Commenting on the news, Hill’s rep Rupert Adams said that the first gamble of the day was Ellie Goulding but just as they were thinking of pulling the plug they had a load of bets for Radiohead, including one customer who asked to place a 15,000 pounds bet on the band at 10/1, reported the Independent.
He added that there seemed to be all kinds of rumours and the plot has had more twists and turns than a classic Bond tale, but surely nobody risks 15,000 pounds on a hunch.
Meanwhile, ‘Spectre’ director Sam Mendes has said that the song has already been recorded and will be announced soon. (ANI)
