Sonia, Rahul responsible for Parliament logjam: Javadekar

New Delhi, Aug. 4 : Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar on Tuesday said that Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi are responsible for the logjam in the Parliament.

“Sonia and Rahul are responsible for the logjam in the Parliament. In their own party, they don’t have democracy, which is ruled by mother and son. The Congress has made it its philosophy to disturb the session,” said Javadekar.

“The Congress lacks democracy in its political DNA and they will teach us about democracy,” he added.

The Congress, along with other political parties, boycotted the parliamentary proceedings today. Led by party president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leaders sat outside the Mahatma Gandhi statue in the Parliament premises.

The Monsoon Session of Parliament has witnessed repeated disruptions with the opposition led by the Congress demanding the resignations of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje over the Lalit Modi row. (ANI)
