Sold 3.1 lakh two-wheelers during Navratra-Dussehra: Honda

New Delhi: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) said on Friday that its sales for the 10-day Navaratra-Dussehra festive period grew by 19 percent over last year at 3.1 lakh units.
“Our focused strategy and preparation for the festive period paid off as Navratra results have been phenomenal for Honda,” said HMSI’s senior vice president, sales and marketing, Yadvinder S. Guleria in a statement.
Retail sales during the festive period in 2015 increased by 50,000 units compared to last year, the statement said.
Dusshera day alone witnessed 90,000 unit sales, Honda’s highest single day sales in 2015.
Honda Activa scooter and Honda CB Shine motorcycle emerged as the most popular two-wheelers to be sold in the festive frenzy.
To enable customers purchase their dream Honda two-wheeler, HMSI has also rolled out finance tie-ups with Muthoot Finance, Andhra Bank and Shri Ram Finance for this festive season. The same has contributed significantly to the overall sales, the statement added.
