Social Media proves handy, says KTR

IT Minister KT Rama Rao today stated that “Social Media” is proving handy as the government is able to interact with people on their woes and reshaping their schemes for inclusive growth. Participating in a national workshop on “Social Media for Good Governance and Inclusive Development” at Delhi on Saturday, the minister stated that they are using social media for effective administration to interact with the people at field level and improving the schemes with better coordination with officials. This media was helpful for offering pension to a person paralysed by birth on social media by sending officials he said. He also said that they are able to promote to international market the produce of women group workers through Amazon company he said. We are able to strengthen the departments with an ultimate aim to reach out to the unreached through variety of schemes, the IT Minister maintained. Improve your business program was conducted through Facebook for women of self help groups KTR said. Also social media is helpful to replace corruption with transparency and interact with small and medium enterprises he said. (NSS)
