Six-year-old girl’s heart outside her chest – Facing threat to her life

Russia: Virsaviya Borun (6) was born with a genetic defect. Her heart lies outside her chest. She is facing a threat to her life. Intestines are also on the chest and abdomen.

She is a native of Russia. Recently she was shifted to South Florida. She is suffering of Pentalogy of Cantrell, a rare congenital condition which is a rare occurrence.

Dari Borun, mother of the girl said that when she was pregnant, the doctor had an apprehension that the girl won’t survive.

Boston’s Children’s Hospital agreed to treat her rare disease which needs surgery.

The mother of the girl made an appeal for donations to meet the medical expenses of her daughter’s treatment as she can’t afford heavy bills. She has launched a fundraising page on Youcaring.com titled Bathsheba’s Heart. So far she has received $11,790 but she needs $20,000.
