Job Description:

The purpose of the Site Compliance & Risk Officer role is to support the Site Legal and Compliance Head to. Enable and drive ethical business conduct through the design and effective implementation of an appropriate Compliance Organization and Program at Site level across NBS functions and hosted divisions at the Site. Ensure overall coordination and harmonization of Compliance efforts and activities in the Site, connected to Global Standards since many of the activities are global in nature, and have an understanding of the compliance requirements in supporting individual country, regional or global requested activities. Identify and drive realization of cross-functional synergies within Site to drive Compliance Lead the Risk Management initiatives for NBS including leading the implementation of processes, tools and systems to identify, assess, measure, manage, monitor and report risks. Lead the Site Risk Committee coordinating various functions and periodically report to the Site Leadership Team.

Compliance risks assessment for Site conducted and risks are adequately managed. Adequate Compliance structure (skills and resources at Site level) in place. Regular communication / meetings with the NBS Integrity and Compliance Head, Divisional Compliance Representatives and Country Integrity & Compliance. Cross-divisional synergies are identified and realized as appropriate. All local compliance standards established for the respective Division are aligned with local regulations/standards and company policies. Local processes and SOPs for relevant policies are established and implemented. All associates are trained on Code of Conduct, BPO, Anti-Bribery and P3s at the Site. Annual (e)-Training and (e)-Certification completion targets are reached. BPO processes implemented and communicated to all associates. Compliance-related risk assessment conducted. Monitoring: self-assessment conducted and remediation plan developed. Implementation of a robust framework for risk management including implementation of Novartis groups initiatives and control frameworks.

Minimum requirements:

Degree in business/law or other relevant subject matter/ Chartered Accountant English. 8 – 10 years Strong previous experience in Compliance Field Experience in the Similar Industry. Experience in Novartis a clear plus Experience in project and process management. Experience in heavily matrixed organization a plus.
