Hyderabad : Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily has appealed to all the Imams of mosques to administer a pledge from the Muslims that they would celebrate the marriages in a very simple way. They would refrain from sumptuous dinner, dowry, orchestra and songs etc. He has also requested to communicate his appeal for serving one dish and one sweet in marriage function. Mr. Zahid Ali Khan appealed to the youngsters and make this campaign a success by taking the pledge. This will resolve an important issue of celebrating marriages of Muslim girls.
Mr. Mohammed Mushtaq Malik, President of Muslim Shibban has also requested the Muslims to celebrate the day of pledge today. He will address on this issue at Jamia Masjid Ahsanullah Khan, Nagabowli, Yakutpura and would administer the pledge after the Friday prayer.
