Sharif in Lahore airport to receive Modi

Lahore: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif reached the Lahore airport on Friday to receive his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi, who is set to make an unscheduled visit to Pakistan.

Geo TV said Modi will land at 3 p.m. (3.30 Indian time) but it was not clear whether the two leaders will hold talks at the airport or elsewhere in Lahore.

Modi tweeted earlier from Afghanistan that he had greeted Sharif on his birthday and would be halting at Lahore on his way back to New Delhi.
