Sharad Yadav to BJP: Act against ‘talkative’ V.K. Singh

New Delhi: Janata Dal (United) president Sharad Yadav on Monday criticised Minister of State for External Affairs, General (Retired) V.K. Singh’s statement on intolerance in India adding that the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) should take necessary action against the latter for making such controversial statements.

“The Government should take a note of his statement and take action against him. Everyday, he makes some wrong statement and then take his words back. BJP should shut V.K. Singh’s mouth,” Yadav told ANI here.

Union Minister VK Singh on the sidelines of the Regional Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in Los Angeles has told the reporters that the debate over intolerance in India is an “unnecessary” creation of very imaginative minds being paid with a lot of money.

“This particular debate (on intolerance) is no debate. It is the unnecessary creation of very imaginative minds who are being paid with a lot of money,” Singh said.

Singh also alleged that debate over intolerance in India was politically motivated and purposefully generated before the Bihar assembly elections.(ANI)
