Shakarpara

Ingredients:

1 cup all purpose flour
½ cup sugar
½ cup milk
2 cup canola oil
½ cup olive oil

Method:

Take a deep bowl and place the all-purpose flour in it.

In a separate bowl, pour the milk in and heat it by placing it in a microwave for 1 minute. Once it is hot, add the sugar and mix it with a spoon, dissolving all the sugar.

Then, add the sweet milk into the bowl with the all purpose flour and add the olive oil as well. Then, use your hands to knead the mixture into a soft dough

Once the dough is soft and easily kneaded, set it aside for about ten minutes.

Once the ten minutes are over, knead the dough with your hands again and take a small but generous amount of dough and place it on a flat surface. Take a rolling pan and roll it out shaping it into a circle that is 1 cm in thickness

Take a knife or pizza cutter and cut out a slanted checkered design into the dough

In a separate deep pan, pour the canola oil in and place it on a stove on medium-high heat.

Once the oil is hot, add each separate diamond into the oil and fry it until it is a light golden brown color. After that, take it out of the oil and place it on a paper towel.

Repeat this for all of the remaining diamonds.

Eat as a snack or with a meal as a side dish.
