Seven Taliban militants linked to Peshawar massacre sentenced to death

Washington DC, Aug 14 : Pakistan’s military has said that seven Taliban militants, who were involved in a series of attacks in the country including the Peshawar massacre, have been given the death penalty.

According to CNN, the seven militants did not directly participate in the attack in which all the gunmen were killed.

The militants had been tried in Pakistani military courts and have the right to file an appeal before the country’s court of appeals, said the Pakistani Army in a statement.

More than 100 others were injured in the Peshawar siege that deliberately targeted the school’s 1,100 students, most of whom were the children of army personnel. (ANI)
