Systems Engineer II Content Management Systems
The Challenge Ahead:
Systems Engineer position will be responsible for the enterprise SharePoint farms, extranet, and other collaboration systems. The candidate will be expected to work closely with a number of engineers and architects to guide the team in evaluating and testing new technologies, implementation, migration and being the overall all technical go-to person.
What a Systems Engineer does at EA:
As a Systems Engineer, your primary focus will be platform related solutions and support to enable collaboration across the enterprise. Role will require self-starter mentality and will require pro-active collaboration with Architects, Engineers, Technical Managers, and senior IT staff to support content management, file sync, and other collaboration systems as well as corporate intranet sites and the secure external publishing of these.
Position to be focused on environment optimization and engineering based initiatives to improve infrastructure and bring new tools and technology to the EA employee workforce. Position to participate in IT communities focused on future standards, knowledge sharing, and collaboration. It will work with service operations teams, vendor support teams, and be an escalation point and end-of-line support contact.
The next GREAT EA Systems Engineer also needs:
Configure, manage, and maintain all aspects of Microsoft SharePoint.
5+ years of SharePoint administration (including versions 2007, 2010, and 2013)
Experience with enterprise search (FAST, SharePoint integrated, Google, etc.)
Knowledge and experience migrating sites from various versions
Knowledge of SQL Server, SQL, and database technologies
Experience with OneDrive for Business, Box, and/or other file sync tools
Proven experience with Windows administration and knowledge of Active Directory
Working understanding of reverse proxies (TMG, WAP, etc.)
Background in supporting SharePoint developers and development processes
Knowledge of PowerShell
Understanding of Data Center standards and methodologies
Experience with DEV / QA environments and centralized management systems
Able to function across many technical disciplines
Build and maintain pro-active relationships with technical leads and IT team members
Hardware and software troubleshooting skills in a fast paced environment required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills

What we would LOVE to see:
Hands on experience with Metalogix toolsets
Strong Microsoft Lync experience, including Enterprise Voice
Experience with Mobile Device Management / Mobile Application management (tools like MobileIron)
Understanding of Linux as well as experience with Mac OS X
Knowledge and experience with Visual Studio and SharePoint development
Experience with additional Content Management Systems (Drupal, Joomla, Igloo, etc.)
Knowledge of VMWare and/or Hyper-V virtualization technology
Experience with general scripting languages and an understanding of consuming common web API formats (REST, JSON, SOAP)
