Sehwag gives green signal for `All-Stars` series

New Delhi, Oct.27 : Former India batsman Virender Sehwag has confirmed his participation in next month’s inaugural Cricket All-Stars series, co-promoted by Sachin Tendulkar and Shane Warne, in the United States.

Confirming the news, former teammate and cricket’s global icon Tendulkar tweeted, “Warm welcome to my friend & a batsman with his distinct style! @virendersehwag joins us at @T20AllStars #10DaystoGo.”

Sehwag, who announced his retirement from international cricket last week, will therefore miss part of Haryana¹s Ranji Trophy campaign, ESPNcricinfo reported.

The three-match All-Stars series, which comprises of former stalwarts like Sourav Ganguly, Jacques Kallis, Ricky Ponting, Brian Lara, Wasim Akram and Muttiah Muralidharan, is scheduled to start on November 7 in New York. (ANI)
