Telangana State Election Commissioner V. Nagi Reddy said that the staff drafted for poll duties should encourage the electors to elect best candidates who could bring development in the city of Hyderabad.
While participating in the training programme conducted for the Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers / Zonal Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and senior officials of the GHMC, the SEC said that the polling staff should be well acquainted with each other and must work in proper coordination. He said everyone should work with equal enthusiasm.
GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy said that he was in constant touch with all the officials and have been holding two tele-conferences every day in connection with the GHMC elections.
Telangana State Election Commission Secretary Ashok gave a Power Point Presentation about the role of the Returning and Assistant Returning Officers and explained about all the works to be taken up right from the day of the nominations to that of counting that also declaring the seat.
Additional Commissioner (Elections) Surendra Mohan, Zonal Commissioners Harichandana Dasari, Gourav Uppal, Gangadhar Reddy, Srinivas Reddy and C.N. Raghu Prasad, Additional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and senior officials from Engineering, Town Planning, Health wings have participated in the training programme held on Tuesday at JNTU Fine Arts at Masab Tank.
