Telangana government has released Rs. 40 Cr for scholarship to students belonging to backwards classes and minorities. Secretary Finance K Ram Krishna Rao issued two separate orders in this connection. During the current financial year Rs. 10 Cr were allocated for scholarships to minority students. The amount has been completely released. On the other hand Rs. 30 Cr. were released for scholarship to backward classes.
