Scaffold Managers for Industrial Scaffolding Contractor

Job Description
Job Summary :
1. The role will be to oversee the management of all aspects of the scaffolding Contracts, ensuring completion of the work safely to time and budget.
2. Ability to manage client relations, team management , and supplier management with a motivation to continuously improve all aspects of the operation and quality of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with all Safety, Health and Environmental Regulations, Procedures and Plans.
Anticipate and identify key issues affecting contract objectives and priorities.
Undertake full responsibility for the P&L of the contract.
Develop strategies and solutions associated with the project, and manage their implementation, optimising cost, schedule and performance activities.
Locate & recruit suitably competent directly employed Scaffolders.
Overall accountability for input & accuracy of timesheet /wages
Attend client program meetings & agree timelines in line with available resources.
Support reporting supervisory staff
liase with the Client.
Ensure that adequate resources are available for the work to be progressed in accordance with the contract.
Manage the Labour bank ensuring that all personnel are Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel for the roles they are to undertake.
To ensure all work is undertaken within the job holders demonstrated level of competence.
Undertake site measures in accordance with contract requirements.
Ensure that job schedules & all associated contracts paperwork is completed accurately & fully detailed
Compile regular appraisals for all direct reports.
Liaise monthly with the invoicing dept. to ensure work value claimed is in line with costs incurred / actual scaffold structures built / dismantled
Authority to develop and implement strategies to improve daily operations on site
Management of own resources
Authority to develop and implement strategies to improve people management.
Be aware of the business continuity plan for the part of the business you work in
Reviews and resolve business issues to capitalize on business opportunities or to resolve business challenges.Aware of opportunities in the region.
Identify New contract and clients

Qualification & Experience:
Essential
Experienced Scaffolding more than 5 years.
Previous experience within in similar services role.
Previous contract management experience gained within the Scaffolding Industry.
Excellent leadership & motivational skills, with the ability to forward plan, work under pressure & influence at senior level
Sound interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate at all levels.
An understanding of current health & safety legislation approved codes of practice & guidance notes
Good Communication
Strong ability to exercise judgement, negotiate & make sound decisions
Ability to work to tight timescales & with a strong sense of self-motivation and a creative approach towards problem solving whilst thriving on complex & unusual challenges
Flexible and Adaptable; willingness to work rotational weekends and some holidays, and occasionally evenings. Provide 24hr call out when necessary
Business communication skills, including emails, worksheets and presentations.
Strong in Negotiation & Customer Services orientation.
Achieve tasks in accordance with Company standards of procedure.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Desirable
Training experience
NEBOSH or equivalent safety qualification
Manage people issues – Demonstrates that safety is paramount in all business operations and maintains well being of employees.
Understand and apply appropriate employee legislation, safety, health and environment regulations whilst applying appropriate recruitment, reward and disciplinary processes and procedures (grievances, absences, etc)
Problem solving and analysis – Makes systematic and rational judgements based on relevant information
Job Working Conditions / Location:
Office work, visits to other sites and client offices/locations across the nation/ India.
Must be able to deal with work-related deadlines, accountabilities and responsibilities.
Must be able to work under frequent job pressure generated by short and inflexible deadlines.
Must be able to work independently and under time constraints.
